Sensory Sensitive Trick or Treat

Halloween can be really tough for our Neurodivergent kiddos.  It's dark, there are flashing lights, people are rushed to pick their treat or there are kids waiting behind the to hurry up.  Also as parents, we never know how others will treat our kiddos, this sometimes will limit us in the activites we participate in.  

Connection Therapy Clinic is so excited to announce that we've secured 10 homes that are willing to be present or leave little treats our for our kiddos.  These are homes that we know the home owners, they are safe and welcoming individuals.   They are volunteering their time and efforts to provide this amazing experinece for our kiddos. 

We are limiting this event to only 20 families, this will allow us space for all the children to take their time.  If you register and cannot attend, please let us know immediate so we may open another slot.  

We will email you on 10/27 with the address to meet at for the trick or treating and any additional details you may need.

The Homes will have:

• sensory sensitve decorations
• no jumping/flashing decorations
• be accepting, patient, and calm to each trick or treater.  They understand our kiddos might communicate/engage in their own way.
