SPEECH THERAPY
Meeting your child exactly how they communicate.
First words, scripts, a device, no words yet — whatever your child's communication looks like right now, that's our starting point, not a problem to fix.

So what is speech therapy?
Not just speech sounds. Speech therapy is for every kind of communicator — the toddler with no words yet, the child who scripts entire movie scenes, the kid whose voice is a device, the one who has plenty of words but can't always reach them when it counts.

Emerging Communicators
Here's what we know: communication is already happening in all of these kids — through sounds, scripts, gestures, and devices. Our job is to recognize it and build on it, through play, at your child's pace. Not to make your kid sound like every other kid. To help them be heard, understood, and included — in whatever way works for their brain.
What we actually work on
Early language for toddlers who aren't talking yet — or aren't talking much.
Articulation
Making speech sounds clearly, so your child is understood outside the family too.
Language
Understanding what's said (receptive) and putting thoughts into words (expressive).
Gestalt language processing
For kids who learn language in chunks and scripts. We work with how their brain learns — not against it.
AAC & device support
Communication devices, from first setup to real daily use. A device is a real voice.
Social communication
Conversation, connection, and the unspoken stuff — without forcing masking.
Fluency / stuttering
Supporting confident, comfortable communication — not just smooth speech.
Play-based. Every time.
Communication grows out of connection, not flashcards. Sessions are built around your child's interests, because a kid who's engaged is a kid who's learning. And because our SLPs and OTs work under one roof, regulation and communication get supported together — the way they actually work in real life.

We love Connection Therapy Clinic! The office staff and therapists are all so knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I love that they are all moms, so they "get it" and are flexible and understanding. My daughters love coming to therapy here- it's been such a positive experience for all of us! Highly recommend!

Our Sessions

Some kids benefit from a few months of therapy; others need longer-term support. Both are normal.
Speech Evaluations
An SLP uses a mix of standardized assessments, a conversation with you, and clinical observation — then we figure out together how to best support your child. You're part of this from the start.
